Race favourite Bucks Blade to prevail in the Grade IR Betfair – The World’s Biggest Betting Community
Bucks Blade will be racing with the odds of 5 to 4 as a favourite in the Grade IR Betfair – The World’s Biggest Betting Community at Perry Barr on 21st March, 2012. He will be competing over 480 metres for £500 against Westmead
Melanie, Dixies Air, Guinness Magic, Pennys Viking and Freds Champ.
The son of Droopys Scolari, out of Mottos Dawn is currently on a hat-trick. He has already bagged two victories and if he succeeds in this race than his hat-trick will be completed.
C. Lister’s training has already proved fruitful, as the hound is performing well. He finished first in the Grade OR Owlerton Bookmakers 480 Duplicated at Sheffield on 6th March, 2012. He was successful in defeating evening’s
favourite, Skywalker Louie, by 2 ½ lengths in 27.96 seconds.
The next first place finish took place at Perry Barr where he defeated, Yahoo Jamie, by a wide margin of 4 lengths on 10th March, 2012.
Lister is hoping that Bucks Blade will prevail in this race. He doesn’t have a significant advantage at Perry Barr over the other runners, because he has raced at different tracks including Romford, Sheffield and Nottingham.
Dixies Air will be racing with the odds of 4 to 1 in this race. He ran a solo run on this track on 16th March, 2012, where he completed the 480 metre track in 28.82 seconds.
He has competed at Romford, Yarmouth and Belle Vue among other tracks, but will be making his debut at Perry Barr.
The son of Head Bound, out of Hondo On Air, triumphed in the Grade IR Betdaq Premier League Round 2 Leg 1 Puppies at Yarmouth on 28th January, 2012. Sent as the race favourite with the odds of 10 to 11, the punters were delighted
that he defeated Farloe Logan by an immense margin of 8 lengths in 27.79 seconds.
Trained by C. Allsopp, Freds Champ will be competing in this race with odds of 9 to 2. Much like the other contenders, he has not raced at Perry Barr, but recently ran three solo runs on this track.
In his solo run on 13th March, 2012, the son of Scarty Lad, out of Olordyesman, completed the 480 metre track with a brisk pace in 28.76 seconds.
His previous race took place on 15th December, 2011, at Sheffield where he finished as a runner-up. He was defeated by race favourite, Droopys Cristian, by 5 lengths in the Grade OR Harry Holmes Memorial trophy Heat. Freds Champ
finished in 30.72 seconds, whereas the winner finished in 30.32 seconds.
For this race, the bookmakers are favouring Bucks Blade.  It is predicted that he will finish in first whereas the second place is likely to be acquired by Dixies Air.  Freds Champ has not raced in 2012, but his solo runs show progression. He is likely
to fight Dixies Air for a finish in second.
