Australia Domestic: Victoria post decent total against Western Australia
Victoria posted a decent total after batting first against Western Australia in the Big Bash Twenty20 tournament. The match was being played at the Western Australia Cricket Association ground in Perth.
Victoria won the toss and decided to bat first on a batting-friendly track. The start to the innings was not ideal for the Victorian batsmen as they continued to lose wickets at regular intervals. who guided the Australian team to a victory recently
in a Twenty20 international match against England.
Finch did not disappoint his team and he played some extraordinary shots in his innings. He did not panic with the continuous fall of wickets and kept on playing at a good strike rate.
The promising 24-year old youngster took his team out of trouble with his 61-run knock. His wicket fell at a total of 93 but he had done the damage with his magnificent half century.
Star West Indian all-rounder Dwayne Bravo played a run-a-ball innings of 16 runs to give some more hope to his team.
A cameo innings of 23 runs from 17 balls from John Hastings took the total score to 145 in the allotted 20 overs. Hastings was also included in the World Cup squad for Australia and that would have given a lot of confidence to him.

WA has a strong batting line-up with Shaun Marsh and Chris Gayle as their openers. They also have Marcus North in their line-up and the team will be hoping to chase down the total posted by Victoria easily.
Victoria will need to get some early wickets in the match especially the wicket of Gayle. If the West Indian destructor is not dismissed early, he will take the game away from his opponents in no time.
