Need advice about settling credit card debt?

Question

I have not paid an account of about $947 for several months and they are about to charge it off, they have offered me to settle for less than owed for about $450 but say it will hurt my credit and they offer to remove $147 in charges if I pay them $200 to bring it current should I let it get charged off, pay the settlement or bring it current? I wanted to pay them a settlement in return for deleting this from my credit report but they wont do that. My credit is already very poor so im not trying to save it but just get better going forward.
