Tullig Joy posts a third victory to his already unbeaten record after winning the Coral Sussex Puppy Trophy final at Hove on 22nd December
The pup of Droopys Scolari out of Tullig Woods, born in April, 2010, has achieved a hat trick through his three streak unbeaten record ever since he raced first on 29th November. This, he was able to accomplish by winning the
£1,500 Coral Sussex Puppy Trophy final, an all-open race at Hove that was raced for over a distance of 515 metres. The trainers who entered their hounds into the final include the winning trainer Pat Sallis, K Findlay, P Young, Seamus Cahill, D Firmager and
P Rosney.
The 5 to 4 favourite of the race, Sakara Star was representing trainer Seamus Cahill. He was only able to manage the fourth position after finding his stride gradually, and then being obscured that restrained him to rush for the wire before the other
three hounds that he was following. He clocked the distance in 29.97 seconds.
The winner of the race, Tullig Joy raced through the wire in 29.49 seconds, leaving the hound behind him, Coolavanny Bert, at 2 ¼ lengths.
The runner up who is under K Findlay’s charge was able to finish the race in 29.67 seconds. He was then followed by P Young’s Bubbly Ebony, who after breaking from the fourth stall took 29.87 seconds to race through the track.
Following in the tracks of the 5 to 4 favourite of the race, Sakara Star, were Romeo Recruit and Ardmayle Driver, finishing one after the other. D Firmager’s Romeo Recruit, made it to the wire in 30.39 seconds and was followed by the trainee of P Rosney
at a head’s difference, in 30.40 seconds.
The two races in which Tullig Joy participated were at Hall Green and Hove. The first being on 29th November, the A 2 B Cars Puppy which was for over a distance of 480 metres which the 2 to 5 favourite finished in 28.21 seconds
against, Rockview Royal.
The next race that he won was the Coral Sussex Puppy Trophy Heat 1 on 15th
December at Hove. Yet again, he was sent as the 4 to 6 favourite. Tullig Joy succeeded in finishing the race in 29.75 seconds.
He is truly an exceptional dog, who won twice when was sent as a favourite and the third time he raced, he defeated the favourite and added another title under his belt.
