Ross Brawn: Impossible to predict what happens after 2011 Belgian Grand Prix – Formula 1 news
Mercedes GP boss Ross Brawn has said that it is impossible to predict at the moment what will happen from the 2011 Belgium Grand Prix.
Brawn also mentioned that it is not possible to predict the performance of the current strong teams, which included Ferrari, Red Bull and McLaren in the last eight rounds of the 2011 Formula 1 season.
He admitted that Red Bull’s Sebastian Vettel took a very strong start in the ongoing season, as he scored a lot of points in the early stages of the season in order to secure his another F1 title.
McLaren are also in a competitive form from the last few races of the season. However, Brawn stated that the Woking-based outfit could be strong in the upcoming race weekends, as they have already won four races in the season so far and want to win this
year’s title as well.
Ferrari managed below par results from the initial races of this season, as both of the drivers Fernando Alonso and Felipe Massa were unable to perform well on the racetracks due to an unsupportive role of their cars.
Brawn added that Ferrari seemed to be in a positive form from the last few races and they also have a good pace during the races. He mentioned that there would be a tough fight among Red Bull, Ferrari and McLaren in the last eight rounds of the season, as
all these teams are looking forward to win the championship.
Brawn told the media, “It is impossible to predict what will happen from Spa-Francorchamps, but we saw that Ferrari and McLaren have been ahead in the last three grands prix and will continue to evolve.”
On the other hand, Renault Managing Director Steve Nielsen said that agrees with Brawn’s statements. He added that it is a fact Ferrari and McLaren can catch Red Bull in the remainder of the season, because both of the teams are very aggressive at the moment.
Nielsen said, “The fact that Ferrari and McLaren have evolved in aerodynamics and exhaust later that Red Bull gives them much more potential for improvement.”
Let’s see which team wins the 2011 season’s championship in the end.
