Udinese vs. AC Milan – Zebrette hunting Champions League – Serie A Preview

Udinese will host Serie A champions AC Milan in their final league match of the season at the Stadio Communale Friuli on Sunday, The hosts will look to secure the final UEFA Champions League berth at the weekend as SS Lazio are breathing down their
neck. The Bianconeri need a point to secure a fourth place finish as they are superior to on goal difference.
The reverse fixture between Udinese and AC Milan was an eight-goal thriller in January this year. In one of the best matches of Serie A this season, both sides ended the fixture 4-4 after thrilling 90 minutes of action.
Francesco Guidolin’s side have had an amazing season this term despite a shock start. The Bianconeri lost the first four matches in the league and were bottom of the table with one point from the opening five matches. But the club has seen a revival and
are currently on the verge of qualifying for the Champions League.

The Rossoneri have recently claimed their first Scudetto win since the 2003/04 season, ending the dominance of Milan. Massimilano Allegri’s side have won 24 of the 37 matches played and have accumulated 81 points, losing only four times.
The Milan giants are unbeaten in their last seven league fixtures and their away form has been great, with 10 points in their last five away games.

Guidolin has a nearly full strength squad to choose from. The only prominent absentee would be Serbian midfielder, Dusan Basta, who is out with an injury and is doubtful for the crucial clash.
AC Milan is expected to start, possibly his last match for Milan if his loan deal is not made permanent
in the summers, after missing last week’s clash against Cagliari.
