I am Having trouble with my XBox 360 please help!?

Question

Every time I put a game in Like Call of Duty 4 or Halo 3 it says "Disc is unreadable please try restarting your console or cleaning the disc with a soft cloth" we have tried restarting the console,cleaning the disc,using a lens cleaner,and blew on the lens..Nothing works!We can play a CD and we can play the Xbox download games but not the Xbox games...What could be wrong?And what should I do?

DOn't do anything to the xbox yourself, you may void the warranty. You should call microsoft at 1-800-4-MYXBOX tell them what is up and they should fix it for you. I don't know if it will cost you anything though.....

Sounds like the CD Drive is going out. I had a friend with this problem. He was able to repair it himself by replacing the drive. If you don't know how to do this then if it is still under warranty you will have to send it in unfortunately... It sucks I know. I had to send my 360 in to the EOM A.K.A Evil Organization of Microsoft.

Your lens might be broken. This happened to me on my PS2: it played CD-ROM games like Madden but not DVD-ROM games like GTA III. I sent it back for repairs and sure enough that was the case. Seeing as how the games you mentioned are in DVD format yet your system can play the others, I would say it needs repair.
