Easy Way to "Cure" The Three Rings of Death for Xbox 360?

I've had the Three Rings of Death for a little while and am trying to find an easy way to rectify the problem. If anyone knows a quick remedy to it, then please help me out.

you can't fix its permanent and to get fixed u have to send it to MS!

DON"T WRAP IT IN TOWELS-THIS POSES A FIRE RISK!!!!!

The only way to fix it is to send it in for repairs.

The towel trick might work temporarily, but not only can it cause fire, the trick "fries" other delicate components inside the unit.

Plus, Microsoft can recognize this damage and will void your warranty, forcing you to pay for repairs.

it doesnt always work, but u can wrap the xbox in som dry towels and turn it on, then wait and it will overheat. sometimes it overheats and resets to work. but usually u have to send it in the microsoft

buy a ps3!! lol! they almost never crash. But you should take a damp towel and wrap it around the 360. It is only short term fix and I dont think there is one. and I dont know how that will affect the ventalation.

Throw it off a building...

Just kidding, Xbox has had numerous problems with their Xbox 360's so they are fixing the '3 rings of death' problem for free.  Call 1-800-4-MY-XBOX and they will tell you what to do from there.  Basically they pay your postage you send it in and about 3 weeks later you get it back all fixed!

If you can't wait that long, go buy another Xbox, keep your receipt and make sure that they have a 30 day return policy (Target does).  Play the new one while the old one is getting fixed then go return it when yours comes in.
