d**k Advocaat: PSV suffered an unnecessary defeat on Thursday

The Eindhoven giants suffered a demoralising 2-0 defeat at the hands of FC Dnipro in their UEFA Europa League group stage opener, and the veteran tactician has expressed his disappointment over the result.
PSV Eindhoven boss, d**k Advocaat, was extremely disappointed to see his side losing 2-0 in their UEFA Europa League group stage encounter against at Dnipro Arena on Thursday, September 20.
The 64-year-old tactician acknowledged his troops’ impressive show in the opening 50 minutes of play, despite they failed to create any goalscoring opportunity of note. However, the Dutch trainer also admitted that his side was
never in control of the game after conceding the opening goal.
“We were in complete control during the opening 50 minutes of the game, without really creating any big chances. You hope to make the difference up front if you can dominate like this. And then Dnipro scored from out of nowhere.
Or, actually, we scored the goals for them. I warned the lads at half-time to remain cautious because they were waiting for us to make a mistake”, Advocaat was quoted as saying to the club’s official website.
The former between the sticks, and the veteran stressed that he is not satisfied with the Polish goalkeeper’s performances thus far.
“The reason that I made a chance is that I’m not satisfied with Tyton. We’ll see whether he’s our No.1 again on Sunday”, Advocaat added.
Jetro Willems had to be substituted in the 46th minute due to an injury, but the Dutch trainer insisted that the youngster’s absence did not affect his side’s back-line.
“Jetro Willems is being plagued by knee problems. That certainly wasn’t the reason for this loss”, Advocaat concluded.
The Eindhoven giants remained the better side on the pitch in the opening half.  However, their dominance faded away after the half-time break, and FC Dnipro grabbed the lead through in the 50th minute. Eight
minutes later, sent a low cross into his own net to double the hosts’ lead. pressed hard to make a comeback, but they failed to score any goal until the full time whistle, and the match ended in a 2-0 win for FC Dnipro.
