Pep Guardiola insists Dani Alves will remain at Barcelona
Barcelona boss Pep Guardiola said he expected Brazilian international Dani Alves to remain at the club and sign a new contract during the summer. Guardiola dismissed all rumours of the player considering a move during the January
transfer window, saying that Alves would most likely remain with the Spanish giants in the future.
There had been speculation that the right back was on his way to English Premier League side Manchester City after the club offered an astronomical amount of money for him. However, the La Liga side rejected the offer which kept
Alves at Nou Camp. Now, City are determined and will most likely make another bid in the summer if Alves does not sign a new contract with Barcelona.
Guardiola though, was confident the right back would stay. He said while speaking to reporters, “Alves will be a Barca player for the next few years. As far as I know, negotiations haven’t broken down. I don’t think the situation
will distract him either, though if that does happen we will all help him, but his form hasn’t dipped at all since he began talking with the club about this.”
Gary Medel possibly on his way to Sevilla
Chilean international Gary Medel has requested http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Boca-Juniors-c38658 to accept the bid Sevilla have made for him. The player seems to be on the verge of making a La Liga switch move, with reports suggesting Boca have already accepted the
offer for the player. The management at Boca revealed they agreed to sell the player as soon as he made the request.
Jose Beraldi, the Boca vice president, said while speaking to reporters, “We have accepted to transfer him to Sevilla because the player said to us that he wanted to leave as it was an important opportunity for him playing football
in Europe. We talked it over with the coach and he finally accepted.”
The 23-year-old has been impressive in recent seasons, which has made Sevilla even more determined to sign the defence man. In the 2010 World Cup, Medel started all three matches for http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Chile-c2871 and despite his young age, put in a spirited
performance. The Chilean international said he hoped Boca fans would accept his decision for a move.
He said while speaking to reporters, “I hope that the officials of Boca and the supporters understand me. Sevilla have been following me for many months and they have given me a very important offer for me and my family. I wanted
to be transferred because I don't know if I will have such a chance in the future.”
