set up.
The 25-year-old got the nod after was ruled out of the remainder of the England series with a hamstring strain, suffered at the home of cricket, just couple of weeks ago.
This gave Singh the opportunity to make his much awaited comeback in the side, which is certainly in need of some encouragement. The Men in Blue have been outplayed in the two Test matches so far, and need to make a quick recovery, or else will have to surrender
the no 1 spot to the Poms.
On his call up to the side, Sharma, was excited for RP Singh.
"For me his selection in the team is like a wish come true," Sharma said. " is a mentally strong player, whose determination got stronger on being dropped from the team."
A line and length bower, Singh has the ability to move the ball. He toured England back in 2007 and was an essential part of the side.  He remained the third highest wicket-taker, behind Zaheer and, with 12 wickets, also grabbing a five-wicket
haul at Lord’s.
However, his last performance in the five-day format came almost three years back, against, in a match which his side lost by an innings.
Sharma also revealed how former English players like were baffled by his axing from the side after such a promising start to his career.  However, the bowling coach feels that the player will come good as he has the ability to take wickets
at will.
"He has the ability to take wickets of good batsmen and, with regular practice, has made efforts to sort out the shortcomings," Sharma said.
The third Test match starts from the 10th of August, where the seamer will be itching to perform, as it will be a great opportunity for him to cement his place in the side.
