i was just checkin out the Australian top 50, to see what type of music they were into, and there charts was filled with american music? shouldnt they have australian music in there charts?

It's not so much weird as it is math.

America has more people than Australia, So there are more people who are carpenters and more who are musicians. So it stands to reason that there's more music that originates in the US.

Now, Canada, REQUIRES a certain percentage of music be Canadian before you can even qualify for a license to broadcast in that country.

Even though australia is isolated as a country, doesnt mean we're not getting international music. We still have heaps of american music here.. We do have aussie music hitting the top 50 but the majority is still american.. the accurate site you wanna check out is www.ariacharts.com.au

On that site which is the accurate weekly top 50 singles and albums, i counted 12 out of 50 (they are marked with a red dot) as music by australian artists

No, music is world wide :)

Like here in England we have many artists from America, England and even places like Iceland and Sweden. And all of the other countries will have the same. It doesn't matter where you are in the world.
