It seems that Manchester United’s manager, Alex Ferguson is looking to resolve his midfield problems, while making some changes to the side that could help the team in the long run. The manager is reported to be looking to make a move for French international,
Moussa Sissoko, as soon as the transfer window opens up again, at the end of the current season.
Sissoko is a box-to-box midfielder, who is currently employed by French side Toulouse in the French Ligue 1. It is also being reported that Alex Ferguson had been monitoring the French international’s career for quite some time now and feels that the time
to bring him into Old Trafford has finally come.
Sissoko is currently twenty one years old and made his senior debut as a footballer in 2007 for Toulouse. The player has managed to make 123 appearances for the club over the last three years and has even managed to back 16 goals in the process. Sissoko
had also been a regular member of the French youth squads and made his debut to the French senior side in 2009, for whom he has made a total of three appearances so far.
As it stands, the player is playing his fourth season with the French team which means he has more than enough experience of playing football at a professional level. Despite being 21, the player has already established himself as a crucial member of the
side, which just goes to show the potential that the player has.
At the moment, Manchester United are in desperate need to buff up their midfield. This is because the team only has a handful of midfielders, who are actually worthy of playing at Old Trafford. At the same time, Ferguson is reported to be on the verge of
letting a number of players like http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Michael-Carrick-c25282 leave at the end of the season and the manager is looking to line-up replacements to bring in for those out going players.
Nonetheless, it is easy to see why the manager is looking to bring in Sissoko. The player is a traditional holding, box-to-box midfielder and United currently don’t really possess a player who can do just that. Sissoko apart from his brilliant interception
and tackling ability, is also a very good passer of the ball, which would make him a natural at United.
However, according to most experts, if Ferguson is to make a move for the player, he is probably going to have to part with around 15-million pounds, which is a fee he would gladly pay to secure the signing of the talented Frenchman.
