The Nerazzurri President, Massimo Moratti, has confirmed his side’s interest in the Manchester City striker, admitting that they have tabled a 25 million Euros bid.
Carlos Tevez might be a hated figure across the Manchester divide, but his reputation of hitting the back of net has attracted plenty of suitors for his signature.
Inter Milan have joined the list of clubs targeting the disgruntled strikers to their play fields, but they face stiff competition from cross-town rivals, AC Milan, and cash-rich, Paris Saint Germain
The Nerazzurri President confirmed the club’s interest in no hidden way, declaring that they have been in contact with the Citizens, and have tabled a 25 million Euros bid. The news comes as a blow to Milan, who have reportedly
agreed personal terms with the Argentine international.
Moratti admitted that his side is facing competition from some top teams, and insists that his offer is reasonable.
While talking to the reporters, Moratti said,
“There are no secrets in football. The offer is €25m. Now it is up to City whether they accept that bid or not. However, I do think that there are a number of other clubs who are interested in him. There are some English sides
and also Paris Saint-Germain.”
The oil Tycoon was talking to the media personnel after Inter’s derby win against the Rossoneri. The ecstatic President stated that have a good squad, and they have what it takes to win the Scudetto.
Moratti also refused to rule out the chances of any of his players leaving the San Siro in January transfer window, and insists that anything can happen in the next 10 to 12 days.
“At this moment in time it seems that we don’t need Tevez, but football gives a different answer on a daily basis. I would keep all of the players that are in the squad right now, but there is still time until the transfer window
closes. We’ll wait and see,” concluded Massimo Moratti.
The President also expressed his delight at his team’s 1-0 win over A.C Milan, and believes that it will take them a long way in terms of the title race.
