recently tabled a bid to acquire the young midfielder’s services, but the Utreg found the bid almost insulting.
The Tukkers are reportedly interested in acquiring the 21-year-old as a replacement to the departing http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Theo-Janssen-c34871. Twente’s undisclosed offer for the young midfielder was turned down. Foeke Booy, the Utreg technical director, was far from pleased with the
Tukkers offer to acquire Strootman’s services.
“It's a bid that is actually offensive to Strootman. I do not discuss amounts, but when I look at the qualities of Kevin, the offer of Twente must be proportional.” Booy lashed out.
However, Booy admitted that there is still a slight chance of his side losing the technically gifted midfielder in the upcoming summer transfer market. Nonetheless, he insisted that a move is not certain.
Booy added, “I understand that a Twente move would be convenient, considering the rapid developments that Kevin goes through, but we are not eager to lose him. However, there are amounts that you cannot refuse.”
Strootman was also heavily linked with a move to play in http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/England-c749 for Fulham FC earlier, as the Cottagers scouts keenly observed him and were impressed with his performances.
Chiel Dekker, the 21-year-old’s agent, insists that his client does not necessarily intend to move away from his current club.
Dekker said, “It's not like Kevin necessarily wants to leave Utrecht.”
The young midfield ace arrived at Stadion Galgenwaard earlier this year in the winter transfer market from http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Sparta-Rotterdam-c40567. His current contract with the Utreg runs until the summer of 2015. Reports suggest that an offer in the region of eight million Euros
would be needed to lure the midfielder away from his current club in the upcoming summer transfer window.
