Adriano Galliani reveals AC Milan’s the intentions for the summer transfer window – Serie A Update
AC Milan Vice-President, Adriano Galliani, reveals that his decision to hire Massimiliano Allegri as the head coach was the right one and he has no regrets over the decision. Galliani confirmed that he made contact with the FC Zenit Saint Petersburg boss,
Luciano Spalletti.
While talking to the Sky Sport 24, the Vice-President said:
“There was a very secret meeting between myself and Spalletti at my house. In order to not get recognised he wore a hat! Then destiny wanted things to go differently. When was this? I can’t say.”
This would be a third change of tactician by the Rossoneri in three years as Leonardo came in 2009, Allegri’s reign was during the 2010/11 season, and now Spalletti is expected to take over the spot.
“The idea is always the same. The most important thing is that our Coaches get the team playing well. It happened with Arrigo Sacchi, Capello and Carlo Ancelotti. Allegri did this with Sassuolo and Cagliari that was the biggest factor. We at Milan
don’t just think about winning, but convincing too with a tradition of good football.”
Galliani, then, responded to the transfer market rumours and also clarified the situation about Marek Hamsik. He said that the Napoli president, Aurelio De Laurentiis, was right when he revealed that the Rossoneri had not approached them for the player.
Both the outfits enjoy a good relationship and the Rossoneri want to keep it that way.
The Van Der Vaart,
and the Diavolo have also negated the news related such transfers.
However, Galliani did confirm one of the rumours to be true; speculations regarding Fiorentina’s, who went onto join Juventus
