  1. The Great Barrier Reef is one of the world's biggest coral reef system made up of over 2900 individual reefs and 900 islands spreading for over 2600 kilometers. Stretching from Tropical North Queensland in the north to Central Queensland in the south, according to estimation there are approximately hundreds of islands dotted along the Great Barrier Reef.
