1/2 + 1/4 + 1/8 +1/16...

i know there's a pattern so i need help on finding an expression for it..

  1. The pattern is 1/(2^n)


  2. 1/2 + 1/4 + 1/8 +1/16...

    You need to determine the common denominator which is 16, then change the fractions as follows:

    8/16 + 4/16 + 2/16 + 1/16

    Now add them, you get 15/16
