England’s MCC is apparently exploring the possibility of joining a consortium to buy an Indian Premier League franchise. Will they do it?

Even considering buying a franchise is an acknowledgment by the MCC that Twenty20s and the IPL are growing in popularity, and that they don’t want to be left behind. We’ll see how it all pans out.
