Whole family getting rashes?! different rashes?

Ok, it started with my son who came home from a friends house, and after sleeping on his friend's floor came home with what looked like flea bites (gross!). A few days later I noticed one of my toddler sons has bumps on his elbows and down his forearms, not rashy just bumps, but he has been scratching them because some of them are scabbing. After about a week, at my parent's camp, I developed a red crusty kind of rash on my neck. Didnt think too much about it...didnt itch, was more sensitive than itchy. The next day I noticed a round patch on my shoulder that itched like crazy, the next day another patch about 6in. from the first near my armpit. Dr. prescribed a steroid cream 5 days ago and the only rash that has improved it the redness on my neck. Then today, my daughter get the same redish scaly rash, like I had on my neck, also on her neck, near her shoulders and her chin - with the rash on her chin looking raised. I used some of my cream to see what would happen. AND, my other son has come down with a fever...no bumps/rashs but it makes me concerned that what we all have may be more serious, contagious than I had thought.

Also, my sons 'flea bites' still havent gone away, been like 9days, and my other son's bumps on his elbows are still there.

Do you have any ideas what is going on?? Are they related?? Could it be a viral infection? I will be taking them all to the Dr. tommorrow just hoping for some quick advice or clarification.

Thanks so much!!

  1. Maybe besides fleas, somebody picked up a fungal infection...don't go to a GP go see a Dermatologist...that's their specialty...but I'd get the fever person in quick if it spikes at all......over 102temp, go Hospital,,,,FAST.....u might try canesten cream...I had a rash that no one but a dermatologist could figure out....Good Luck & Health ...SC
