Where can I cash my son's savings bonds??

Question

My son is only 6 years old and has autism so he would never be able to cash them himself. He needs school clothes and money is tight.

The bonds only total a little over $100.

My "bank" is a credit union and apparently they do not cash them there.

Just try a regular bank, I have never had problems there once I explained my son was very young (I've cashed checks to them there but not bonds, but I assume its the same).  If you want, take your son in with you and show them your son and they should get it very clearly.

Try just a regular bank, they should be able to cash them.
