Was helping out a friend by listing concert tickets on ebay for her, i listed them on my account. It now turns out that the lady who purchased the tickets from the ebay listing did not receive the tickets, she received a empty envelope and unless i can contact my so called friend who has now moved i am going to be charged, if i can contact her they are going to drop the case.

The tickets were sold for approx $230.00

If you are honest in what you say about your friend and have a decent lawyer, I doubt that you will have a criminal conviction recorded.

You may have to make restitution and pay court costs if you can't get your friend to corroborate your story though.

Deportation to the British Isles (or even Victoria) would be considered cruel and unusual punishment.
