  1. a moon roof is generaly a lot biger than a sun roof...

  2. Sun Roof is just a rectangular or square opening above the front seats, which slides manually or by the push of a button, to open.

Moon Roof is similar to a sun roof in shape and size, but the part that opens is actually a window, or a tinted window.  That window is usually covered on the inside by an additional sliding piece that matches the interior, and can slide to open and have the window exposed.  Then, you can also open the window, similar to how a sunroof would function.

  3. If it's open during the day it's a sun roof.

If it's open during the evening it's a moon roof.

  4. A moon roof is just a new gimmickly name invented by americans who are hoping it'll catch on in the rest of the world but it won't.

But "Brunch" did so there's a hope. I personally see no need for the term.
