  1. Depends what time of year. At the moment you would be right at home. Very cold nights just now. Come Summer you can get very hot days but most places have airconditioning and the hot days usually have a break in them and turn to beautiful warm days. I'm sure you will find it great.

  2. Haha! My home town is Palmerston North! lol.

I now live on the Gold Coast in Queensland.

In relation to your question, it depends on which part of Australia you are going to. If you go to Tasmania, the climate is pretty much exactly the same.

Likewise with Victoria (although in summer it can get above 40 degress).

Sydney, however would be perfect for you I believe. My Aunty has just recently moved from Palmerston North to Sydney and she says the weather is a lot better. Sydney has a good climate because in winter it isn't too cold I guess but it's not hot.

Sydney generally has temperatures around 17 degress in the day in winter dipping down to about 7 or 8 at night. It rains alot in winter.

Sydney would be a bit warmer than Palmy in winter but it still will be cool.

Summer however, is another story. Sydney in summer is generally sunny. Temperatures are around 27 in the day and about 18 at night. BUT the weather can go a bit crazy in Sydney. When I was on holiday there a couple of years ago it got up to 45 degress! That was almost unberible.

But no, I think you should be alright with the difference in climates.

Thanks for the question :) Hope I've helped.

P.S I'm from Hokawhitu and I am going to Palmy on Friday! haha.

  3. The temperature can go from on extreme to the other. I live in country NSW where winter can get to -6 and summer to 46. So it gets horrible sometimes, lol. The coast is a little more temperate, 0 ish to 35 - 40ish, which is much more bareable. The only thing you will have to worry about is the funny kiwi jokes we have for you, lol Just kidding. Have fun and enjoy your stay.
