Question:

What is a good 10 inch sub?

i am looking to upgrade my currently crappy system and am looking for recomendation? i currently have a very nice bandpass box and a crappy legacy 1000W amp, but ill be upgrading that soon.

  2. I would recommend the MTX roadthunder with the dual voice coil. I have two of them running in series off 150rms/300peak amp and they still hit hard considering they're 400/800 together. Plus the dual voice coil allows you to wire it in series giving you an 8 ohm load.  Or parallel and you'll get a 2 ohm load, which means you can have a smaller amp but get more out of it.

  3. I have an Alpine 10" Type R 1042D. It hits incredible hard and its amazing. I love my Alpine and my buddy has a Rockford Fosgate 10" and it hits almost as hard, but its running at a lower watt. I would recommend either of those esp. with a bandpass box. Two of the type R's would be great with that amp (they are 500 watt RMS).
