What are great Pet Lizard(s)?

To start I just bought a 100 gallon tank, pretty big i don't have dimensions yet but its long looked like 4ft. long 2ft. high and maybe 2ft. wide, though thats and estimate. I heard alot about bearded dragons, chinese water dragons, and leopard geckos... I don't want an Iguana (well I would love one but don't wanna buy a 6ft custom cage). The cage is glass, so I don't know if that affects them but i will be sure to have logs and stuff to climb and shaded spots to cool them down. So far im leaning toward a Bearded dragon, would that be able to fit in the 100 gallon without me having to move it out when its older? I heard they are fun to hold, which i want if i wanted to just look i would just go to a pet store haha. Are there any types that could also go in there or should i just spoil 1 lizard with all that space? Pros'/Cons of differant lizards would be nice..and i heard leopard geckos are nocturnal so probably not that... Thanks!

  1. Beardies are very gentle and love large areas to run around in Ive had mine for 14 years, Now I have 12 of them they are easy to maintain. They are very interesting animals.

  2. u can put a monitor or a tegu in it and a bearded dragon bearded dragons r cool

  3. peach throated monitor, yellow monitor, blue tongue skink, water dragon, all would love a tank that size

  4. get a beardie they wont grow out of the cage so you dont have to worry bout that but they are wicked awesome so definetely beardie or even a pair would be fine

  5. water dragons are great they perform for u and they eat a variety of foods read the articles from below

  6. I really think you should research each one a lot more and see which one is more to your liking and which one fits your personality. You need to take into account what they need to eat and the cost of their environment and how complicated (or not) that it might be to take care of them. Reptiles are a lot harder to take care of and  a lot more sensitive to environmental changes than warm blooded pets. One person's opinion may not necessarily be your own, so you are liable to get a better result if you do your own personal research.

  7. actually my leopard gecko sleeps at night b/c I play with him a lot.

so leopard geckos are great pets if you don't mind that they need a heat lamp.  they aren't that scary, don't make noise, and are kind of cute.  I have one and his name is rex
