Waqar Younis backs to come good in future – Cricket News Update

While talking to Pakpassion, the legendary fast bowler expressed his disappointment at Gul’s recent performances and believes that the seam bowler was over-trying, which led to his downfall in the series.
"Gul looked totally out of sorts in Sri Lanka and he seemed off colour. I watched his bowling very closely and it appeared to me that he was rushing in his approach to the crease, trying too hard to take wickets," Waqar said.
There is a school of thought, according to which, it is about time that Pakistan starts to look forward and try out new fast bowlers, which are found in abundance in the country.
The former Test captain however, believes that ‘form is temporary but class is permanent’ and hopes that Gul will bounce in the series against, scheduled to be played in UAE in September/October.
Waqar mentioned that the fast bowler has done well on occasions for Pakistan in past and fans must not forget that every player goes through a lean period in his career.
He added, “Gul is still a vital component in the Pakistani Test bowling line up and I don’t think he should be discarded. Those with short memories may have forgotten Gul’s efforts in the UAE against recently. I think it was
a one-off and I’m sure he will bounce back.”
