Vomitting during period?

On the first day of my period i always vomit. It is really annoying because i have to miss school. It goes away if i go to sleep, because then i wake up and i feel fine. I also get really bad cramps. I went to my doctor and he didn't know what it was!! help!

Go to another doctor.

Everybody's body deals with period in a different way, some feel no pain and have very light periods while others have a terrible time. My friends who have had a terrible time while on their periods have seen more helpful doctors. There are all sorts of treatments available so your first doctor shouldn't have been so unhelpful. Shame on him/her!

The usual exercising and eating healthy does help the cramps but won't stop the vomiting.

This is somewhat common in woman. It is also what happens when a woman goes into labor (horrible cramps, vomiting, diarrhea.) I suffered from it myself and also had to miss school on the first day of my period. If you are not on the pill...it may be a good time to try it. I know when I went on the pill my cramps went away, I did not vomit, no more diarrhea, and my acne cleared up. So give that a try...you may find yourself a whole lot happier.

I also start to vomit on the first day of my period (once i was vomiting soooo much that i ened up vomiting a little bit of blood too :(   ).

The reason why you may vomit on your period is because you get really really bad period pain, and so your body reacts by vomiting (this happens to me).

BTW if you go on the pill, it will really help reduce period pain and therefore will prevent vomiting

Do you take pain killers for the cramps? I used to get vomiting on the first day also, I found that if I took the appropriate pain killers as soon as my period started, it would help to eliminate the vomiting

Its normal.try some slight stretching execise it will just go away

I've never heard of such a thing.  Maybe you're a very rare person, and your name will be put on some new syndrome relating to vomiting on the first day of a period.

Have you tried a specialist? Maybe a gynecologist will be able to diagnose you?
