Veitnamese Translation!?

My buddy wrote this the other day and now i am wondering what it might mean:

Có người không dám bước vì sợ gãy chân, nhưng sợ gãy chân mà không dám bước đi thì có khác nào chân đã gãy

It says, "One is fear to walk forward because he is afraid of breaking his legs.  But afraid of breaking his legs and not walking forward is the same thing as having his legs broken."
