The Alan Speechley Fengate Collar 2011 – Heats declares Mountjoy Rock the speedy frontrunner

Placed in Heat – 3 with the most favourable odds, the black dog impressively gun downed the lot of hounds, by crossing over in 25.03 seconds. Wearing black and white jacket Mountjoy Rock commenced his chase from trap 4, with a tremendous surging speed which
turned out to be beneficial for his pursuit.
Rallying through the dirt track with 4 – 6 F odds, E Parker’s hound was soon spotted at the pointer station. Sustaining at the precious place, Mountjoy Rock dashed in the direction of success and with hands down he crossed the finish line ahead of the lot.
On the other side trainer P Ward’s brindle dog Voldemort , finished behind the winner by 9 ¾ lengths wrapped up his chase at second place. He tried every chance to be the first one to hit the wire, but his lethargic start got the better of him.
The second immediate racer, who besides winning the purse brilliantly made his way in to the next round, was trainer F Lenton’s Confident Martin.
Entire race track was inspired by the black and white dog’s chase, which assisted him for hitting the wire in 25.19 seconds. Sent in with even odds, trainer F Lenton’s hound began his hunt for the purse from trap 1, wearing red and white jacket.
The two-year-old champ soon got his hands on the head start position, due to his abrupt and courageous early pace.
Over Throwing Proud Patsy by 4 ¼ lengths, Confident Martin triumphantly concluded his chase at the foremost position.
The third fastest hound of the Alan Speechley Fengate Collar 2011 was the Heat – 1 sprinter Zodiac Zeus. For trainer N McEllistrim the black hound was going in pursuit with 9 – 4 odds.
Zodiac Zeus’s early pace was quite inspirational, due to which he was able to acquire lead during the third bend. The two-year-old took 25.26 seconds to reach the finish line and fortified his place in the next round.
