Sentenced in one jurisdiction, probation transferred to another, who has jurisdiction over the violation?

  1. If you are on probation, your probation office has the jurisdiction.  However, all government agencies such as probation, police and courts work together.  


  2. that first answer is not correct.  I can't speak for PO's in North Carolina, I'm a PO in CA.  In our case, we can either transfer the supervision of a case to county, or we can tranfer the jurisdiction of the case to the other county, which means that case now belongs to the new county.  If just the supervision is transferred (which is the most common scenario), if you violate Probation, your home county does the VOP.  If the entire jurisdiction of your case is transferred, the new county does the VOP.
