Rockstar to banish Max Payne 3 cheaters to Cheaters Pool – Gaming News
Rockstar has announced that it will be punishing gamers using cheats in May Payne 3 by relegating them to “Cheaters Pool.”
Like countless other games, the latest tile in the May Payne franchise has been infected with cheaters who are killing the spirit of the game by employing unfair means to gain undue advantage during online play.
These cheats range from slow-motion to x-ray vision that allows players to see through the walls, as well as an aim that just cannot go wrong.
With many developers taking strict action against cheaters and working around the clock to put measures in place that would help to curb the evil that is harming the online experience, Rockstar has no intention of sitting idle.
Explaining its latest action against gamers caught cheating in the new third-person shooter video game, Rockstar Games explained that a server “Cheaters Pool” has been launched, which will act as a temporary jail for anyone who is found guilty of employing
hacks. The cheaters will still be able to play online, but only against other cheaters.
While the first instance of cheating and getting caught will result in relegation to the “Cheaters Pool” for a limited period of time, any further transgression will result in a permanent ban.
The America-based developer further added that it will keep working to identify and close all loopholes that are used by cheaters to employ hacks by releasing title updates.
However, Rockstar has also requested gamers to cooperate with them and help them in catching cheaters by reporting potentially unfair May Payne 3 activity by sending an e-mail to banhammer@rockstargames.com. The details of activity, along with the platform
used by the alleged cheater and his nick should be mentioned in the e-mail. The players are also requested to attach a possible video or snapshot of the transgression with the e-mail.
Max Payne 3 is the latest title in the Max Payne franchise and the first to be released on Xbox 360, Playstation 3 and PC. The game is developed through a joint collaboration between Vancouver, New England, London and Toronto studios of Rockstar.
