Premier League News – 07th Oct 2010: West Bromwich Albion, West Ham United, Wigan Athletic, Wolverhampton Wanderers

WEST BROMWICH ALBION
West Brom’s assistant coach Eddie Newton has praised the way Peter Odemwingie has changed the overall game play of the club and has given the club a new style of play since his arrival.
"Peter brings a positivity to the changing room, he is very positive as a man, very positive. He mixes with everybody really well and as a player he has got loads of pace which threatens the defence and he is very positive, he
will shoot on sight, he is very clever in his movements, so he does give us a different dimension when he plays.", claimed the assistant coach Eddie Newton.
WEST HAM UNITED
Hammer reserve team boss Alex Dyer by the work rate Benni McCarthy put in their recent 1-0 victory over Liverpool in the reserves match. It was the doing of the striker that led to the team pulling off a major upset. McCarthy has
failed to leave an impression for the first team and has just managed two goals for the first team. The Hammers manager thus decided to drop the player from the first team but made a good impression with the reserves. His performances have led to Dyer believing
that it will be only a matter of time before McCarthy gets back to the first team. McCarthy has scored twice in as many appearances for the reserves side and the manager hailed the player’s hard work and determination.
Dyer added that "He has put in a shift and set a good example. He is getting stronger and he and Freddie Sears both looked sharp. Whatever the level and however it comes, it is another goal for him and it will make him feel better.
He will score goals in the first team all day long. It is all good news for the club.", claimed the assistant coach.
WIGAN ATHLETIC
Wigan Athletic have been warned by Bolton boss Owen Coyle to spend a decent amount of money in order to sign on loan goalkeeper Ali Al Habsi permanently. The Bolton manager claimed that the only way they can keep Al Habsi for good
is to pay a big transfer fee, if not, there is no deal. In the end, Coyle claimed that it was up to him to decide the future of Al Habsi at Bolton.
WOLVERHAMPTON WANDERERS
Wolves Manager Mick McCarthy has expressed his concern for midfielder Stephen Hunt and does not want to rush the player back into the side. Hunt is yet to make his first appearance for the Wolves but the manager claimed that he
had seen the player train with the squad and seems to be doing well. However, he would want to give the player another week to train with the first team and then feature for the reserves match against Wigan next Tuesday.
