Parakeet HELP!?

Question

Okay so i got a parakeet a few weeks ago and his name is george! hes very loving besides the occasional biting. I want him to live long but he seems to not like ANY healthy foods i give him! can you please give me some recipes and food ideas to keep george healthy!? Thank you sooo much!

Don't know about the cooking of the foods for keets ?? Its not a parrot . And you mean cooked eggs??? Just buy some vitamins to go in the water and you can also dust its food. Most of the bird feeds sold at the store will say  vitamin enriched

Go on line to www.petsolutions.com...there are some pre-packaged foods that you cook fresh by adding water. Try some noodles, fresh fruits, etc..They love eggs, too!!! kjl

Invite him to dinner!  No joke.  My cockatiels and parakeet all refused to eat the good stuff unitl they saw me eating it.  Be sure that you hold and play with george a ton.  Then have him on your shoulder at dinner and show him what you're eating.  Then break off a tiny itty bitty little piece and put it up to his beak.  If he doesn't take it from your fingers, disgusting as this may sound, put the piece of food on your lip and he'll probably take it from there.  It may take a while before he accepts the fruits and veggies, but he should love things like oats and noodles.
