  2. Occupational therapists are now required to have a Masters level degree for certification and licensure.  Occupational therapists are able to work with all populations of people from infants and children through geriatrics.  OT's work in mental health, hospitals, rehab, assisted living centers, schools, work rehab and non-traditional settings (like farms and prisons).  OT's provide services to people with challenges in daily living and organizations (ergonomics, adaptations, accommodation).  OT is a broad field with many areas of practice.  It does require more education then your typical four year bachelor degree.  However, the rewards of finding an area of service that really fits you is worth it!

  3. The Occupational Therapy Association is the group that supports OTs.  And is the single best accurate source for information.
