Nicole Vaidisova?

Question

What wrong with her? she lost in two first rounds already and got bagel in Dubai by Ivanovic. Is she injured? Do u think she will drop in the rankings this year or do u think she will start playing better now in the clay season? I think she is a awesome player with a huge forehand and serve but i just confused why she has been losing so bad all of a sudden?

well,like mauresmo she had some health issues last year which took her out of the game for some months and she just hasn't been able to regain her form nor her confidence ever since.....and that's why she's been losing.

She's growing up and finding out there are many things in life beyond Tennis - especially now that she has plenty of Money - which her family could not have back in the old Czechoslovakia- the new Czech Republic is doing well and you'll see many new faces from the country in tennis.

But many will find a life outside of the grind - and eventually get married and move on.

Tennis is the best escape for young girls in Pre-Soviet countries in which their Fathers have money.  The trend will likely last another decade then taper off.

Nicole being a pretty woman is bound to have many offers in life.

I'm just wanting to see what she's wearing. She has the best outfits of anyone. Well, ok, Maria usually is best dressed, but Nicole has great taste too!

Well, she is one of those players who have a good game but just isn't all that strong mentally. She has blown a couple of matches where she has been in the lead because of mental weakness. As far as her bad losses. I just think with the rise of all these young good players like ivanovic, Szavay, Radwanska, etc, she kind of got lost in the pack and therefore isn't as confident as she was two years ago. She is no longer the next big thing and she prolly hasn't gotten over that yet. Once she gets it together mentally and trust that her game is good enough to win then she will start to win again.

I can't exactly tell you what's wrong with her, but I do not think she is injured. I mean, if she were injured she would not have been playing because it might worsen the injury.

There is that possibility, that her rankings might drop. I mean, she has not been playing that well as compared to her opponents, not counting the Australian Open when she fought until the 4th round but as from what you have said she has lost to someone higher in the rankings.

I cannot say, but she can always try to make a comeback in the clay season but she has alot of people to surpass/overtake the William sisters, Ivanovic, Sharapova and Henin. Which is very difficult.

But if you really think she is that of a tennis player, why not! Players need support, let's just hope that she does better from now on.
