Low grade fever for weeks!?

My 4 month old daughter who is defiantly teething has had a low grade fever for a long long time... like usually 99.5 and sometimes it goes up to 100. I've told my doctor but it doesn't seem to be a problem to her. What doe you think?

  1. They can run low grade fevers for awhile with teething. Use infant Tylenol, or Tempera. If it goes above 102 I would take her into emerge. just to be on the safe side.

  2. I also have a 4 month old lil girl and she's just the same. And some days he little cheeks are so rosy red. I just give her infant paracetamol when she seems worse and when she is chewing a lot I put the gels on her gums. She also loves to chew on thing (esp mummys finger) but someone on here suggested to me that she chews on a rubber weaning spoon . S0 if you have any yet that could be a good idea. Just hang on in there. I also have  4 year old boy and i don't remember him going through this although he must have done.

  3. This low grade could definitely be her "norm" My oldest runs about 99.5 as her norm in the morning and higher in the afternoon. I would seek a second opinion however as your doctor obviously did not ease your worry! Ask for another doc next visit.
