Liverpool News: Kenny Dalglish to be allowed funds to bring in new players
Liverpool Football Club may be flirting with relegation in the English Premier League but for now the fans are very happy to see their beloved Kenny Dalglish take charge of the team. They now hope that Kenny is the man to guide them out of
their troubles.
It may not be easy but the fans have their trust behind the man. It looks like the new manager has the backing of the owners in the current transfer window and will be given the cash to bring in reinforcements he deems necessary to spark
a revival at Anfield.
The Liverpool manager has only been on job for six days and he has said that the club will not let go of any opportunities to bring in new players to the club in the January transfer window.
Kenny was denied a winning return to the club by none other than his bitter rivals, Manchester United in the FA Cup on Sunday when a controversial penalty proved to be their undoing. Now the manager, who inherited a side currently lying in
the 12th place in the league, is preparing to take revenge on a side that beat Liverpool at home earlier in the league season.
Next up for LFC is an away game against Blackpool and ahead of the game the manager is trying to reinforce his defense as he is trying to lure Stoke City’s Ryan Shawcross to Anfield.
Kind Kenny may not be able to sign the defender before the game but he has made clear of his intent to bring in fresh blood into his squad. He has also been linked with the Utrecht hotshot Ricky van Wolfswinkel.
Although, Kenny is in charge of the club until the end of the season but he has been given the assurance that the funds will be made available if he antes to make any signings.
Talking to Liverpool’s official website, Kenny said, "The most important people for us are the people that are here. We are going to concentrate on them and everyone will be given an opportunity. If something comes up that is an attractive
opportunity for the club then we may well take it. It's impossible to say one way or another."
It has been reported in the media recently that Fenway Sports Group has asked the director of football strategy at LFC, Simon Commoli to allow Kenny Dalglish the freedom in the transfer market that he desires. Although, Dalglish may not be
able to bring in players that will impact the team in the long term but he surely will be allowed to make changes.
Speaking about Steven Commoli, Dalglish said, "It's important that we have someone who is there and is actively organising people, looking at team reports and match preparations that include individual players that the club may have an interest in, I think
it's a fantastic help and I certainly do not have a problem with Damien. Hopefully, it's the same from his point of view."
Dalglish’s promotion from academy and ambassadorial role to the manager of the club has for now united the fans after they were frustrated by the catastrophically unsuccessful six months under Roy Hodgson.
This is the 59-year-old’s second stint as the manager of Liverpool as he first managed the club between 1985 and 1991. He at that time won three league titles to add to the five league winner medals and three European Cups he won as a Liverpool player.
