The German head coach believes beating Spain at their own game is the best way to defeat them.

The Spaniards knocked out Germany in the 2008 European Championships final, and in the semi final of the 2010 World Cup to eventually lifted the trophy. Die Mannschaft were dominated on both occasions and were unable to take the
ball off Spain.
The German tactician claims that he has not drawn up a specific plan to avoid getting beaten by Vicente Del Bosque’s men in yet another major tournament.
"We do not have an anti-Spain plan," Joachim Low was quoted as saying in an interview.
He believes that the only way to beat Furia Roja is to dominate them at their own game not by putting all ten outfield players behind the ball. The key to beating the Spaniards is to pressurize them high up the field, dispossess
them as much as you can and keep the ball because your opponents will not score if they do not have the ball.
"If you want to cause Spain problems, you will have to do so by playing football. You have to pressure them, and enjoy the majority of possession” he added.
Defending for your lives is not the best way to beat la Roja, if you let them have all the possession it will be a walk in the park for them.
“If you cannot do that, and Spain do not have a bad day at the office and do not take their chances, beating them is going to be very complicated." he further added.
Jogi’s men, on the other hand, are drawn in the ‘Group of Death’ alongside Netherlands, Portugal, and Denmark. In order to beat Spain they have to qualify for the knockouts, and that means beating the likes of Netherlands and Portugal
who are also the neutrals’ favorites to lift the trophy. These two teams are capable of beating any team in the world on their day.
Will the Germans come out of this group unscathed remains to be seen, till then they will have to focus on the Oranje and A Selecao.
