  1. Every culture has different superstitions.  Many people in my family were born in February so we all think it's a great month.  Interestingly, I used to hear people say "Marry in May and rue the day" and may is one of the most common months for marriage.  I wouldn't sweat it.  A February wedding woul be lovely.

  2. I Really Don't Think There Is Such Thing As A Bad Month To Get Married. I Think It's Just Superstition.

  3. Noway. No such thing as bad or good. You make it how you want.If you believe in that, heres an example,"mom and dad got married in Feb and are still together,35 yrs and happy.

  4. No I think it's romantic especially on Valentine's Day

  5. No month is bad or good for marriage all by itself.

The best way to find good time for marriage is to look at the position of Venus at the time of marriage. A strong Venus means a good time for marriage.

  6. No there is no month more lucky or unlucky than another.

I am getting married in February. Where I live it is very humid, hot and it always seems to rain. So in my case there is a huge possiblilty of unfortunate weather but nothing along the lines of bad luck.

  7. First, there is no such thing as bad luck. When someone sees something that is supposed to be bad luck, like a black cat crosses their path, they start worrying and don't pay as much attention as they should to their surroundings, so they have accidents and call them bad luck. I have never heard of any month to be bad luck. It will be bad luck if you think it will be.

My suggestion is to pick a month to get married that very few people get married in, then you can get cheaper rates for everything and will be able to make your wedding more memorable!

  8. Definitely not. Me and my hubby got married on Feb 2008. Maybe for Buddhists? Well, I'm a Christian while my hubby is a freethinker. So we had no qualms about marrying at any dates.

  9. 'The Best Month to Marry'

    (Traditional Rhyme UK)

'Married in January's h**r and rime,

Windowed you'll be before your time.

    Married in February's sleepy weather,

Life you'll tread in time together.

Married when March winds shrill and roar,

Your home will be on a distant shore.

    Married beneath April's changing skies,

A chequered path before you lies.

Married when bees over May blossom flit,

Strangers around your board will sit.

Married in the month of roses-June,

Life will be one long honeymoon.

Married in July with flowers ablaze,

    Bittersweet memories on after days.

Married in August's heat and drowse,

Lover and friend in your chosen spouse.

    Married in September's golden glow,

Smooth and serene your life will go.

Married when leaves in October thin,

Toil and hardship for you gain.

Married in veils of November mist,

Fortune your wedding ring has kissed.

Married in days of December cheer,

Love's star shines brighter from year to year.'

    'The Best Day to Marry'

    (Traditional Rhyme UK)

    'Monday for wealth,

    Tuesday for health,

    Wednesday best day of all,

    Thursday for losses,

    Friday for crosses,

And Saturday no luck at all.'

There is no such thing as a unlucky day or month to get married if you are marrying your true love.

I was married in January on a Saturday and our marriage is strong, happy and we are both healthy! We have not encountered anything that we couldn't handle together! You make your own choices in life and luck.

  10. I've never heard a superstition about February.

I have heard one about May and my family (Catholic) also doesn't believe in getting married during lent which usually starts in March and ends in April although some years its early and starts end of February and ends in March.

I don't really believe the superstitions and I think the not marrying during lent could be church restriction and not really a superstition.

I think it is what you make it.

  11. Alot of people get married on Valentines Day so I would think not...........
