I want to sell my engine from a 2002 Kia Rio, manual Tran. Dealer's only offering $50?

It has bent piston rods and needs to be rebuilt, but I know they're just going to turn around and sell it for $1500. How much should I realistically expect them or someone else to pay me for it?

That is scrap metal, not an engine. Haul it to the recycle or junk yard, scrap prices are up right now.

There isn't any factory warranty left on the vehicle. If the car doesn't run it's really a flower pot then....isn't it. A rebuilt engine installed will be minimum $1200.  Fix it first then expect something for it.....
