I've heard that car tires aren't vagan?

true / false? what is in them that wouldn't make them vegan? glue?

  1. The rubber is made from oil - which is fossilized amimals. Therefore oil is an animal-product. Vegans do not consume or use anything from animals.


  2. Why would you want to know?? You're not going to eat the tires are you....LOL

  3. Yes they are, they run over and kill hundreds of things every year *wipes eyes*

  4. I'm pretty sure tires are made from synthetic rubber.  Glue has not been made from animal parts in ages.

  5. Rendered animal parts are used in producing some types of rubber, including the kind that is used in tires. I learned this a while back from a pro-animal site.
