How much money does a family doctor make?

Im just wondering , how much money does a family doctor in canada make ? and how many hours do they work ?

i heard they work from 9- 5 from monday to friday , is this true?

They usualy set there own office hours, however, you have to remember that they also do hospital rounds. Some doctors even do nursing home visits. So I could not really say.

I live in America.

I usually work 4 days a week, with 12 hours shifts. Sometimes I work on Friday for about 5 hours, but it depends on the schedule. This schedule just works better with my family. I know a lot of doctors who work different shifts, so there are many shifts that are possible. It just depends on the employer. Some work 7 days continuously and have the next week off. Some work 5 days a week with shifts from 7-3, 9-6, etc.

My salary is about $145,000 - $160,000. I put this in a range because it depends on how many hours I work.
