Four justices on the supreme court seem to have a problem with the Bill of Rights....?

Anyone else upset about the close decision on gun ownership? The founding fathers are rolling over in their graves and the idiots in this country are about to elect a president that will make sure they have the fifth vote next time. Maybe it is time to go back to Concord and 'talk' a few things out...

Those 4 are definitive liberals and if one more gets in, we will have some serious problems.

These 4 and one Moderate are the ones who denied execution of child rapists, as cruel and unusual punishment.

I guess they ignored the "vicitms" cruel and lifelong punishment.

You bet there are others upset about it.  It's not really surprising, though; these liberal justices think that the government should have all the control ,and the citizenry should be parented by its government instead of governed by it.

In almost every instance where guns are banned violent crime INCREASES.  These justices, and the Pelosi types decry safety.  Which is safer, a single mom with 3 small children having a firearm that is responsibly put away to protect her family, or that same single mom being banned from having a gun, and have an armed robber break into her house (because criminals CAN AND WILL get firearms).  

It is not about safety, it's about control.  The liberals want us to live in a police state, apparently, where innocent people have no legal defense against criminals or the tyrannical whims of the state.

Yeah---SCOTUS should be able to read, as most people can-what the intent of the Constitution wording is. Any idiot knows that if guns had not been available to the individual---we would not have a nation.

Ronald Reagan believed that the people are the final arbiter of the Constitution-- not withstanding anything to the contrary.

Actually if you read the dissenting opinion of the court, they rely heavily on the Second Amendment and more closely the original framing of it. There is a lot of open area in how the Second Amendment is worded, and it is clear that its intent is more closely related to a military purpose of a militia than for sporting or even local home related issues. I disagree with the dissenting opinion, I think the DC case sets a terrible precedent that only worsens, but in reading the opinion, it's clear that they are attempting to keep the federal government out of what they see as a "state's rights" (or in this case, district's rights) issue.

Obama wins.  The huge amount of Democratic voters also carry many new Democrats into Congress, giving them a 2/3rds majority.  2-3 Supreme Court Justices retire, and Obama nominates new Justices who are confirmed.  Suddenly, there are 7 liberal Justices and 2 conservative Justices.

Taking advantage of the Patriot Act, the liberals are able to go after the corrupt fundamentalist neo-cons who have tried to destroy our country by legislating their morality and turning the Constitution into toilet paper by changing it every time there is a crisis.
