England squad unchanged for the second Test against West Indies – Cricket News Update
The Cricket Board (ECB), on Monday, revealed the 13-man squad that will take on the West Indies in the second Test match of the series to be played at Trent Bridge, Nottingham, starting from Friday, May 25, 2012.
The Poms have decided to, were also retained., England's national selector, was the one who announced the squad.
Sharing his views on the English team’s performance in the first match, said, “There were some very impressive performances across all five days of the first Test both from individuals and the team as a whole and we were
made to work hard for the first victory of the summer.”  
He further added, “We know the will again prove challenging opposition and our squad will be looking forward to preparing for another tough match later this week.”
England has taken a lead of one game to nil, in the three-match Test series. However, the number one Test team had to toil hard for the victory, as the visitors refused to lay down their weapons without a fight.
The hosts’ were in a spot of bother during their second innings, when four of their top batters were back in the pavilion with just 57 runs.  However, Alastair Cook (79) and (63) came to England's rescue and smothered
the West Indian bowling attack by accumulating 132 runs for the fifth wicket.  
The highlight of the game was the 20th Test century scored by England’s skipper,, and the seven-wicket haul by pacer Stuart Broad in the first innings. Broad was declared Player of the Match for scaling
11 wickets in the match.
