Do you like to buy and read outdated college text books, or is it just me?

Question

You can find college text books at thrift stores for .50 to $3.00.

They are a few years old, but contain a wealth of knowledge.

Right now I am teaching myself Biology.

Just you, thats a waste of 50 cents you couldve bought 2 gum balls and been more entertained by the swirly thing they go down when you crank your change into it.. GOSH people like you make me mad..

It's not just you! When I was a kid I loved to read my parents old college psychology textbooks. I still like to read them now...and those books were old when I read them as a kid...now they're ancient!

considering that they still have a good bit of valid information, i see why you do

i used to love to read out of my biology book, for fun!

I do it all the time. I have a lot of good books that are "outdated" because there is a newer edition. But the new edition is almost exactly the same as the edition printed ten years ago, but with the problem sets changed around.

Good for you.  You have the discipline to educate yourself.  Not too many ppl would choose to do this.  Keep learning.  Knowledge is power.

I agree with Flex. Its great that you do that. Anyone who teaches himself/herself is an autodidact. Not too many people can do that. Its also cheaper than going to college and spending all that tuition money.

Yes, because the newer books have very little new information if they have any. Very Smart
