Do braces change your lips?

if they do, is there a differance when you get them off?

I had braces for just under a year and had them off now for 5 years and ever since then i have noticed my top left lip slighty is different to my right side.I had a very narrow mouth.So this would be my only explanation to why my lip has changed.Now im bit insecure about it.

My lips are pretty full, and I am thinking of getting 4 teeth pull out to fix the protrusion that I have. Will this reduce the fullness of my lips?
