Did anyone ever book through www.hostelworld.com?

i tried to book a room through that website, after that i received a confirmation for the booking and the hotel contact details. so i tried to contact the hotels directly to double check, but got no answer from the hotel til now, which already been a week. so i'm kinda doubtful right now...

www.hostelworld.com is a very comprehensive site and is a good source of information for hostels worldwide.

I have accessed the site and managed to select a hostel of my choice. I did not book through hostel world but through  the actual website of the particular hostel i intended to stay at.

I recommend that you get the website of the hotel and book direct. That might be better. It is better to double check your booking.
