With Australian Open semi-finalist Li Na making an early exit from proceedings here, the gap between Dementieva and the field widens. Jie Zheng still remains a threat, and she’s a potential semi-final opponent for Dementieva. So far only Justine Henin and injury have defeated Dementieva this year, so it’s hard to look past the Russian.
