Arsenal’s Emmanuel Frimpong stresses on consistency for Jack Wilshere’s continued success – Premier League news
Arsenal’s Emmanuel Frimpong argues that needs to be just as consistent as he has been to shed the tag of a ‘fresh, raw talent’ to an exceptional first team player.
Arsene Wenger has a pool of talent to pick from in the Gunner’s reserves argues the young born player. While he admires Wilshere for his quality, Frimpong also believes that he needs to put in such performances day in and day out.
However, he further added that players from the club’s youth academy had the potential to perform just as well as the number 19 but none could match the England international’s high level which he has so far able to bring to the game on a regular
basis; something that sees him part of Arsene Wenger’s first team squad in the Premier League and not a number in the second string side that sometimes gets to feature in the Carling Cup.
Frimpong commented, "The thing that is different between Jack and most of the Arsenal Reserve players is that he is very consistent. You hardly ever see him have a bad game."
He further added, "We have got lots of players in the Reserves that are very good players, in my opinion even as good as Jack on their day. But they don’t have that day as often [and] that is where the difference is.”

The Arsenal player concluded that the secret behind breaking into the first team was to be playing well consistently. He then urged the rest of the reserve squad to continue working hard if they wanted to make that jump. Frimpong himself, looked well on course
to be part of the Arsenal squad at some point in this season after an impressive showing in pre-season.
His partnership with Jack Wilshere in the centre of the part looked to be a combination for the future but following a long-term injury, the former hasn’t been able to make his mark, while Wilshere grabbed the opportunity with both hands.
With question marks over Fabregas’ future along with some patchy performances from Alexander Song, we might just see an Emmanuel Frimpong and Jack Wilshere marriage as the way forward for the North London club in the near future.
